Do you have a personal preference for your technical support questions? Most people that we have talked to for this article hate waiting on hold, or dialing option 1 or 2 to get to a certain place. But they also think having to go online and chat with a live support person is not much better.

Having e-mail as your main contact connection can cause many issues, some customers either don’t have an email account yet or chose their hosted (.com .net .org) website as their email provider. And the reason they’re contacting support is becuase their website is down, obviously their email will be down as well since the server is down. So having a second backup contact such as a phone number or live online support chat as a way of contacting support helps.
